A 35-year-old father of four, Andrew Knight, has tragically died following a drowning incident at Lake Anna in Virginia, leaving his family and community devastated.
Knight’s death occurred after a kayaking accident on Tuesday evening when his kayak capsized shortly before 8 p.m. Witnesses say he attempted to help keep the kayak afloat and was trying to push it back toward shore when he went underwater and never resurfaced.
A nearby Good Samaritan was able to rescue one of his children, but Knight was unable to be saved despite immediate emergency response efforts. He was later confirmed deceased.
Andrew Knight leaves behind three young children and a fiancée, Lacey Tustin, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the lives of his family, who describe him as a devoted partner and loving father.
His fiancée shared heartfelt memories of their life together, describing him as her “best friend” and a hardworking man who was deeply committed to his children. Family members say Knight was known for his kindness, willingness to help others, and strong dedication to his family.
The tragedy has also deeply affected his children, particularly his eldest son, who witnessed the incident and is now struggling with the emotional impact of the loss.
Loved ones are now raising support for the family as they begin the difficult process of mourning and adjusting to life without him. A memorial service is being planned.
Knight will be remembered for his love for his family, his selflessness, and the lasting impact he had on those closest to him.
