A tragic incident in St. Louis has claimed the life of a 3-year-old child who died after falling from an apartment window early Friday morning, according to police.
Officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the Parkview Apartments complex around 2:30 a.m. after reports of a missing toddler. During the search, the child was discovered outside the building with injuries consistent with a fall from a window.
Despite emergency response efforts, the child was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall remains ongoing. No further details, including the identity of the child, have been released at this time.
