The community of Tulare is coming together in grief and remembrance to honor the life of Curtis Adams, a remarkable young man and valued member of the Tulare Union High School wrestling team. Curtis was more than an athlete—he was a source of inspiration, kindness, and strength to those around him. Though some knew him only briefly, the stories shared by wrestlers from Mission Oak High School and others in the wrestling community speak volumes about his character.
As a senior, Curtis represented his school with pride, not only through his performance on the mat but through his dedication to giving back. He spent time coaching younger athletes at local tournaments, demonstrating a selfless spirit and a genuine desire to help others grow. One of the most touching memories shared is of Curtis supporting his younger sister at the Tulare Titans Wrestling Club. Seeing him guide and encourage her captured the kind of brother and person he was—caring, supportive, and deeply committed to family.
Curtis’s character reflects the love and guidance of an incredible family. His mother raised a young man who was respectful, compassionate, and admired by his peers. The impact he made is evident in the heartfelt words shared by teammates and friends. He will be deeply missed by his school, his team, and the entire community. From Mission Oak, we stand with Tulare Union Wrestling in support and unity. Curtis’s memory will live on in the lives he touched.
