Authorities in Oklahoma City are investigating two separate overnight incidents involving vehicles entering Lake Overholser, one of which resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
The first incident occurred around 3 a.m. on the west side of the lake near Morgan Road. According to police, a man driving in the area entered the water, and his vehicle became partially submerged before coming to a stop against a rock. Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in that case.
A second, more serious incident was reported just after 5 a.m. on the south side of the lake near County Line Road. Oklahoma City firefighters responded to reports of another vehicle submerged in the water.
Upon assessing the scene, crews discovered two individuals inside the vehicle. Authorities later confirmed that both occupants—one male and one female—were deceased.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released, and officials have not provided details on how the vehicle entered the water.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the events.
