He was especially remembered for his protective nature—someone who stood by his friends and looked out for others. Reports indicate that some of his former teammates were present during the incident, and two were injured.
Dane had a strong passion for sports, including hockey, lacrosse, and golf, and was known as a competitive and spirited teammate. He had also recently committed to joining the Canadian Forces, reflecting his sense of purpose and dedication.
Authorities have identified multiple suspects in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
